TAKE HIM TO THE DOCTOR!!
Green poop happens because of the iron in the formula. If your one month old child is constipated, you need to see a Doctor, and go to the ER if he`s not dong well.
The best feed for an infant is natural Mothers milk. Shame on any woman that uses formula. You need to take the baby to the doctor.
take him to a docta
first and foremost, take him to the doctor. Secondly, there are other formulas you could try. Talk about your options with the pediatrician, such as similac sensitive. Also, you could ask your doctor if they would prescribe suppositories to help relieve constipation. Mytwo week old had constipation and they helped her. As for people saying shame on you for breastfeeding, ignore them. Its your choice. Some people do not produce enough milk, some people don’t have the desire. Regardless, it is no ones place to shame a mother for not nursing. Hope all turns out ok. Just make sure you let the doctor know.
Put an ounce of Dark Karo Syrup into 4 oz of formula. You can do that twice a day to get things moving and then once a day to keep him regular. My 2nd daughter had bad constipation and that’s what the doc told me to use with her. It worked amazingly well and without any negative effects. They sell two Karo Syrups, light and dark. For some reason the doc said only the dark one works for this.
